David is originally from Michigan and served 8 years in the Navy. After his military travels took him to Japan on the USS Belleau Wood, and to Naples, Italy, San Diego, and Beaufort, David settled in Charleston. He graduated with a BS in Business Administration from the College of Charleston. Prior to starting Weed Man, David worked as a golf professional at Patriot’s Point, Rivertowne Country Club, and the Daniel Island Club. He enjoys riding and taking apart (and successfully putting back together!) Ducati motorcycles, as well as dirt bike riding on the Wambaw trail in the Francis Marion National Forest. He spends his free time with wife, Ashley, and their daughter.

| Josh hails all the way from Hanahan, SC, and graduated from the College of Charleston with a BS in Business Administration. He worked on the golf staff at the Daniel Island Club, where he specialized in customer service. Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and his four-legged children. In his spare time, Josh enjoys golfing, fishing, or just enjoying the outdoors. He is also very active in his church and community. Josh says his favorite weed is “dollar weed because before working for Weed Man I thought it was the hardest weed to control. Now I realize, for us, it's actually one of the easiest." |
Colten made his way to the Lowcountry via Boiling Springs, SC. He began his career at Weed Man working with our marketing campaign team and then transitioned into a lawn care technician. Now, you’ll meet Colten on the lawn during a lawn analysis as he is eager to join the sales team. Colten enjoys working out any chance he gets but his real passion is cooking - specifically creating a variety of grilled chicken entrees. Colten's favorite weed? "Dollar Weed. I'll be the first to say it: "Dolla Dolla weed, y'all!" Thank you, Wyclef Jean. |
Trey grew up in Summerville and, from an early age, tinkered with cars. He previously worked as a mechanic and has done quite a bit of carpentry. We have him to thank for our locker-room! When he isn't working on rebuilding engines for fun, he's spending time with his wife, three kids, and his four-legged family. You'll see Trey cheering on the Panthers and Clemson football. Trey says his favorite weed is "Dollar Weed because a) it looks like a coin and b) it is the first one I learned and saw on a yard." |
| Troy moved to the Charleston area when he was five from Fairmont, West Virginia. He went to Fort Dorchester high school, Go Patriots! He’s had quite an extensive work career ranging from Taco Bell, roofing, and metal fabrication. The Dallas Cowboys are his all-time favorite sport team. In his spare time, Troy likes to hang out with his wife and two kids. Troy’s favorite weed? “Purple cudweed, but it’s only a little bit purple.” |
Donald is from New London, CT and the first time he lived in Charleston was when he 10 years old. The Navy brought his family to NJ and then they decided Charleston is far superior. Donald graduated from Goose Creek High School and while there was part of the VICA club that built parade floats. Their floats always got best in show! In his spare time, Donald likes to listen to music and hang out with his niece and nephew. Donald’s favorite weed? “Dandelion because it goes with my zodiac sign, Leo. It’s bright and catches everybody’s attention.” |
Luis heard about Charleston from his mom and cousin and moved here from Yabucoa, Puerto Rico (via stops in New York City, Milwaukee, and Boston!). His favorite previous job was at a bakery where they made lots of breakfast treats. Luis likes to play baseball and basketball and be in the kitchen in his spare time. His favorite thing to cook is mofongo (fried, mashed plantains with garlic and olive oil) with chicken or shrimp. When he’s back in Puerto Rico is likes to ride horses and surf. The waves on Folly just aren’t big enough! His sweet little girl is 5 years old. Luis’s favorite weed? “Dandelion because of its bright flower.” |
| John is originally from Jacksonville, Florida and has been in Charleston since 2005. He attended St. Augustine Tech where he studied horticulture. In his spare time, John enjoys spending time with his wife, reading classical literature, and gardening. John’s favorite weed is Florida Betony because the tuber resembles a rattlesnake rattle! |
